Full leg set
Full leg sets are developed for transfemoral prostheses and combine a thigh and a lower above knee cover into one cohesive cosmetic solution. By designing both sections together, we create a unified leg silhouette that moves and functions as one.
Each set is developed in relation to the individual socket, knee and lower leg configuration, taking proportion, movement and design expression into account.

Coverage during flexion
If the prosthetic setup allows, full leg sets are designed to overlap the knee joint, closing or reducing the visible gap between socket and knee. This helps maintain a continuous leg shape, even when sitting or bending.
Design considerations & adaptations
Full leg sets are created through careful and coordinated adaptations in fit, proportions and design to meet both your functional needs and personal preferences.

Knee & component interface
The contour around the prosthetic knee and nearby components is adapted to allow natural movement and the necessary clearance in both standing and flexed positions.
If and how much the cover overlaps the prosthetic knee is determined by the specific joint and its movement.

Trimlines & prosthetic foot
Upper and lower trimlines are adapted to suit your socket shape, knee type and prosthetic foot.
Trimlines and clearance around the foot are adapted to allow full range of motion.

Shape, volume & proportions
Volume and shape are adjusted to create a natural relationship between thigh, knee and lower leg, as well as balancing symmetry with the opposite leg, if you want and the prosthetic setup allows. As a standard we apply a subtle circumference reduction of ~5%, when possible, to create a harmonious overall impression.

Access to functional components
Cut-outs and design adaptations are integrated to provide access to valves, rotation adapters, charging ports, heel adjustments or other functional elements, when needed.

Materials & construction
Full leg sets are primarily produced in our flexible material.
The thigh section is always made as a flexible cover. If requested, the lower leg section can be created as a hard cover, though flexible is the most common and recommended choice for the full set.
- Produced in 3D-printed TPU.
- Primarily designed as one-piece wrap covers.
- A single parting line for each cover, usually positioned at the back or towards the medial side.
Design options
Full leg sets are typically developed as one cohesive design across both thigh and lower leg sections and are presented on the website in this way. They are available in a selection of our collection designs, with some custom options also possible.
If you are interested in combining different designs across upper and lower sections, or exploring a specific above knee design as part of a full leg set, feel free to reach out to discuss the possibilities.
