Explore ideas, gather references, think about themes, colours or moods you’re drawn to. This is where your custom design begins – with your own inspiration.
At this stage, your clinic typically helps collect all the necessary prosthetic info and scans.
When you’re ready to move forward, place your custom design order online and include your inspiration – images, sketches or written descriptions of your ideas.
Once your order is received, the work of creating your design can start.
Based on your input, we develop a design proposal. This may begin as a simple 2D sketch or concept draft, or move directly into shaping your design in 3D.
You’ll receive a digital proposal to review and approve before production begins. If needed, we refine the details together until everything feels just right.
Once approved, your design moves into production and takes physical form through industrial 3D printing, followed by several steps of careful finishing and detailing.
We give your cover a final check and finishing touches before delivering it directly to you or through your clinic – ready to be mounted and worn.

Yes – and it doesn’t have to be perfect. Sketches, images, materials, or even a rough idea can be a great starting point.
In some cases, yes. While each custom design starts as a one-of-a-kind piece, many clients are genuinely excited to see their design resonate with others – and are happy to share it.
When possible, we always check with the original client first. If the design isn’t available to reuse, we can create something new inspired by it – capturing a similar feeling without replicating it.
Creating a custom design involves several hours of dedicated, manual design work, so we’re not able to develop a design proposal before an order has been placed.
Once you have ordered, we’ll take the time to understand your ideas, preferences and references, and create a design specifically for you. You’ll always receive a digital proposal to review before production, and we’ll work with you on any adjustments needed so that the final design feels right for you.
Most ideas can be translated into a design, but some may need to be adapted to ensure durability, function, and compatibility with how the cover is produced.
We’ll guide you through that process and explain any adjustments needed along the way – so the final design works as well in reality as it does visually.
It depends on the complexity of the design, the number of feedback rounds, current production capacity and number of orders ahead in the queue.
As a general indication:
- Low to medium complexity: ~5-6 weeks
- More complex designs: ~6-9 weeks

Custom designs are priced differently from collection designs, as they involve more in-depth collaboration and manual design work. Each design is developed from scratch and may also include additional production steps, materials, or finishes.
When you place an order, you start with a base price. Once we’ve received your design input, we assess the scope and either define a final price or an estimated range – depending on how clearly the design direction is defined at that stage.
You’ll always receive this before any design work begins, with the option to pause or cancel if it doesn’t align with your expectations.
If the design evolves or changes direction later in the process, the final cost may be adjusted accordingly.
If the process is paused or cancelled after design work has begun, the cost will reflect the work completed up to that point.
