Our prosthetic covers
An Anatomic Studios cover is a tailor-made cosmetic cover for your prosthesis. It is designed to recreate shape and add personal style to your prosthesis.
Our covers are fitted onto your existing prosthesis and can be designed in anything from subtle skin tones to more expressive styles, colours and patterns.
No. Our covers are not prostheses and do not replace the function of your prosthetic device.
They are added to your existing prosthesis as a cosmetic and design element, helping restore shape and create a look that feels more personal to you.
We create covers for both lower limb and upper limb prostheses.
For lower limb, we offer covers for below-knee and above-knee prostheses. For upper limb, we offer covers for transradial prostheses.
Learn more about our different cover types here.
Yes. Each cover is created individually based on your prosthesis, anatomy and design wishes.
In most cases, yes! Our covers are individually designed and adapted to work with many different types of prosthetic setups. Also including, for example osseointegration, rotationplasty, polycentric knees, blade-style feet, hip disarticulation and Symes prostheses.
The exact fit and attachment possibilities depends on the type of prosthesis, components, alignment and available space. If you’re unsure whether a cover will work with your specific setup, we’re happy to take a look and guide you on what’s possible.
Ordering & process
You can start by choosing the cover type, design and colour that feels right for you. We usually recommend ordering together with your prosthetist or clinic, as they can help collect the information needed for your cover and support the fitting process.
Once we have the necessary information, we create a digital design draft for you to review and approve before production. After your cover has been 3D-printed and finished, it is delivered ready to be fitted and worn.
You can read more about the full process on our How it works page.
Ordering through your prosthetist or clinic is usually the path we recommend.
Your clinic can help collect the information needed, such as photos, measurements and a 3D scan of your prosthesis. They can also support with fitting and guide you through possible reimbursement, insurance or coverage options.
If your clinic is new to Anatomic Studios, they are welcome to contact us and we’ll guide them through the process.
Yes. While we usually recommend ordering through your clinic or prosthetist, you can also place an order directly with Anatomic Studios.
This option is often chosen when reimbursement is not available, or when you prefer to handle the process independently. We’ll guide you through what information is needed and how to submit it.
The exact information depends on the cover type you choose, but for all our tailor-made covers we ask for a 3D-scan, a few photos and measurements.
This information allows us to create the best possible fit and shape for you and your prosthesis.
On our 'How to order'-page you'll find our measuring guides showing what information is needed for each cover type.
Yes, for an optimal cover fit, we ask for a 3D scan of your prosthesis (and opposite leg if possible).
Most clinics have access to scanning and can help you with this. If not, you or your prosthetist can use our free 3D scanning app for iPhone or iPad.
You can find the app in Appstore.
When using the app for the first time, you’ll be asked to create an account. As part of the setup, enter the LabID: Anatomic3D
The Anatomic Studios scanning app lets you or your clinic create a 3D scan using an iPhone or iPad.
The app can be used in two ways: to submit 3D scans for an order placed through our website, or to place the full order through the app by adding scans, photos, measurements and cover details.
When using the app for the first time, you’ll be asked to create an account. As part of the setup, enter the LabID: Anatomic3D.
You can download the app from App Store.

Yes. For all our tailor-made covers, we create a digital design draft for you and/or your prosthetist to review before production.
This gives you the opportunity to see the shape and design, and to share feedback before we make the final cover.
Yes. You can request adjustments to your digital design draft before production.
We want you to feel happy with the design before your cover is made, and we’ll guide you through what can be adjusted based on your prosthesis, chosen design and technical requirements.
Shipping & delivery
We ship Anatomic Studios covers internationally.
Many covers are delivered to the prosthetic clinic or service provider involved in the order, especially when the cover is ordered through a clinic. In some cases, we can also ship directly to you.
If you’re unsure what applies to your order, contact us and we’ll help guide you.
The time it takes to receive your cover can vary depending on your order and where it is being shipped.
For our on-demand products, each cover is created individually for your prosthesis. This means delivery time can be affected by the complexity of the design, current order volume, digital design and production time, your response time during the approval process, and the final shipping destination.
Once your order has been reviewed, we will provide an estimated delivery date. This estimate may change during the process, but we’ll keep you updated if anything changes along the way.
If you need your cover by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so we can let you know what may be possible.
If your cover is ordered through your prosthetist or clinic, it is usually delivered to the clinic so they can help with fitting. If you order directly from Anatomic Studios, we’ll confirm the best delivery option with you during the order process.
If your cover is shipped outside the EU, customs fees, import taxes or local charges may apply.
These charges are set by your local customs authority and are paid by the recipient. If you’re ordering through a clinic or distributor, they may be able to guide you on what applies in your country.

Customization & design
Yes. Our covers are created to give you choice in both shape and design.
Depending on the cover type, you can choose from subtle skin tones, curated collection designs or a fully custom design created around your preferences. Each cover is then adapted to your prosthesis and your chosen style.
You can explore our design options on the cover product pages.
A collection design is selected from one of our existing Anatomic Studios design collections. The collection includes different style categories, so you can choose a design that matches the look and expression you want. We then adapt that design to your specific cover shape and prosthetic setup.
A custom design is created more specifically around your personal ideas – for example a certain pattern, colour combination, artwork, theme or detail you would like us to explore.
In both cases, the shape and fit of the cover are custom-made for your prosthesis.

Yes, we offer skin tone covers for those who want a more subtle and natural-looking cover. These are designed to complement a variety of skin tones and are available in both flexible and hard cover materials.

Yes. The shape of your cover is adapted to your prosthesis and the look you want to achieve.
Some users prefer a shape that closely follows the opposite leg, while others prefer a more stylized or design-focused silhouette. We’ll guide you on what is possible based on your prosthesis, components and chosen cover type.
Here you can learn more about which design considerations and adaptations that are made for each cover type.
Yes. With a custom design, we can explore patterns, colours, artwork, textures or personal details as part of your cover design.
If you have a specific idea, you can share reference images or describe what you have in mind. We’ll then guide you on how it can be translated into a cover design.
Yes. Many users choose to have more than one cover for different styles, occasions or prosthetic setups.
For example, you may want one subtle everyday cover and another more expressive design. If you already have an Anatomic Studios cover, ordering another design may be possible using the same or parts of your existing design information.
Care & maintenance
Yes. Anatomic Studios covers are designed for everyday use.
Your cover is made to be worn on your existing prosthesis as part of your daily life. As with any wearable product, the way you use it, your activity level, the choice of material, design details and surface finish can all affect wear over time.
If you’re unsure what cover type or material is best for your lifestyle, feel free to contact us before ordering and we’ll guide you.
Our covers are designed to be durable for everyday use, but they are not indestructible.
Our flexible covers are our most popular option and are made from a highly resilient material with excellent impact resistance. The material can bend, twist and compress without breaking, making it a strong choice for many everyday situations.
However, surface finishes and colour coatings can still get scratched or worn over time, depending on how the cover is used and cared for.
You can clean your cover with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed.
Avoid strong chemicals, abrasive cleaners or rough scrubbing, as these may affect the surface, colour or finish of the cover.
For more detailed care instructions, please see our Care Guide.
Yes. Our covers are waterproof and can handle water as part of everyday use.
If your cover has been exposed to salt water or chlorine water, we recommend rinsing it with fresh water afterwards and drying it with a soft cloth.
For more detailed care instructions, please see our Care Guide.
While the cover material itself is designed for durability, the colour, coating or surface finish can still get scratched or worn over time.
The surface can be affected by strong friction, impact, sharp objects or rough handling. We recommend treating your cover with care, similar to other design products or wearable accessories.
If your cover has a more delicate custom design or surface finish, we’ll let you know if any extra care is needed.
This depends on the type of sport, your prosthesis, activity level, cover type and how the cover is attached.
We recommend removing the cover during activities involving repeated impacts, abrasion or direct contact with hard or sharp surfaces.
This recommendation is mainly to help preserve the appearance, colour and finish of the cover over time.
If you’re unsure whether your cover is suitable for a specific activity, please contact us – we’re happy to guide you.
For more guidance on use, care and activity recommendations, please see our Care Guide.
Reimbursement, insurance & coverage
In many cases, prosthetic covers can be fully or partly covered through healthcare systems, insurance or other reimbursement options.
Reimbursement and insurance coverage can, however, vary between countries, regions and healthcare systems.
Some users receive support through public healthcare, private insurance or other funding options, while others choose to order and pay directly. Your prosthetist, clinic or insurance provider is usually the best place to start to know what options apply to you.
Yes. Your prosthetist or clinic can often help you understand what reimbursement, insurance or funding options may be available to you.
This is one of the reasons we usually recommend starting the order process together with your clinic, especially if you want to explore possible coverage options.
Yes. We can help provide product information, order details or other documentation that may be needed to support a reimbursement or insurance request – don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
Please note that approval is always decided by the relevant healthcare provider, insurance company or funding body.
Payment & pricing
The price of your cover depends on the cover type, design choice and any specific requirements for your prosthetic setup.
You can find current prices on our product pages. If your order requires something more specific, we’ll review the details and let you know before moving forward.
Payment terms may depend on how your order is placed.
If you order directly through our website, payment is handled during the checkout or according to the payment option you choose.
If your cover is ordered through a clinic, distributor, healthcare system or insurance provider, payment may be handled through them instead.
Available payment options are shown at checkout and may vary depending on your country and order type.
If your cover is ordered through a clinic, distributor, healthcare system or insurance provider, payment options and invoicing may be handled through them instead.
Returns, exchanges & warranty
Because our covers are made individually for each user and prosthetic setup, they usually cannot be returned once production has started.
Before production, you will receive a digital design draft to review and approve. This gives you the opportunity to check the shape and design before your cover is made.
Please read our Returns & Refund Policy for the full details.
If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Since each cover is made on demand, cancellations or changes may not be possible once the design or production process has started. If changes are still possible, we’ll let you know what can be adjusted and whether any additional costs apply.
Please read our Terms of Service and Returns & Refund Policy for the full details.
If your cover arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the damage, the packaging and your order details.
We’ll review the case and guide you through the next steps in line with our Returns & Refund Policy and Product Warranty.
If you experience an issue with your cover, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review it together.
Please include your name, order number or invoice number if available, a description of the issue, and photos or other documentation showing the problem.
Our Product Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under regular use and recommended care.
If a valid warranty issue occurs during the warranty period, we may repair the product, replace the product or defective part, or provide another suitable solution depending on the situation. Any warranty replacement is based on the original order specifications, including the original design, shape, fit, colour and finish, unless otherwise agreed.
Please read our Product Warranty for the full details.
We offer a 1-year warranty from the date the product is shipped from us.
The warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship under regular use and recommended care.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches or wear to paint, surface finish or coating from regular use, incorrect handling, accidents, impact damage, misuse, loss or theft, or changes made to the prosthesis after delivery that affect the fit or function of the cover.
It also does not cover modifications or repairs made by someone other than Anatomic Studios or a party approved by us.
Please read our Product Warranty for the full details.
