How to mount & adjust our covers
Leg covers
Most covers for lower-limb prostheses are mounted using our click-on mounting system.
A slim aluminum adapter is mounted around the pylon, allowing the cover to click securely into place. Built-in adjustment possibilities help ensure proper alignment.
A complementary strap on the inside adds extra stability, while steel button fasteners hold the cover parts together - on the sides for 2-piece covers or at the back for flexible wrap covers.
The same principle applies for both transtibial (BK) and transfemoral (AK) prostheses, and in many cases also for thigh covers.
If our standard mounting system isn’t compatible with a specific setup, we’ll design a custom solution. Feel free to contact us to discuss options.
Arm covers
Our covers for transradial arm prostheses need no tools for mounting - just remove the prosthetic hand from the wrist connector and slide the cover over the socket until friction holds it in place.
Make sure to align the upper trimlines of the cover and socket, re-attach the hand, and you're good to go.
3D scanning - tips & best practices
A clear and complete scan is the starting point for a well-fitting cover.
These guidelines help create accurate scan data and achieve the best possible result.

CHECKLIST FOR A QUALITY SCAN
- Make sure all prosthetic components are clearly visible before scanning. Remove shoes, socks and any foam/cosmetic cover.
- Check the scanning result to ensure no larger parts of the prosthesis are missing.
- Upload scan files in standard formats .STL, .OBJ or .PLY
TIPS & TRICKS
If some prosthetic components aren’t properly detected by the scanner, we recommend using scanning spray on these specific areas.
If you don’t have access to scanning spray, a light-coloured masking tape or thin nylon stocking tightened well around the components (maintaining the component's original shape), can also help improve the scanning result.
