A 3D-scan of your prosthesis and, if possible, of your opposite leg.

Make sure all prosthetic components are clearly visible - remove shoes, socks and any foam/cosmetic cover before scanning

For BK prosthesis - scan without sleeve

Check scanning result to make sure no larger parts of the prosthesis are missing

Upload scan files in standard formats .STL, .OBJ or .PLY

TIPS & TRICKS WHEN SCANNING

If details or components aren’t properly captured by the scanner, we recommend coloring the affected parts of the prosthesis. A scanning spray usually works fine. Otherwise, masking tape or a thin nylon stocking tightened with rubber bands or tape, can also do the trick. Note that in order to achieve an accurate cover fit, it is important that the shape of the prosthetic components are visible in the scan.

WHY DO WE NEED A SCAN OF YOUR PROSTHESIS?

We need a scan to enable the best possible fit against the unique shape of your prosthesis.

HOW CAN I GET MY PROSTHESIS SCANNED?

Many prosthetic clinics offer the possibility for 3D-scanning. We at Anatomic Studios also provide a 3D-scanning application available for iOS devices. You can find the app in AppStore here. (Currently available for iPhone X, 11-14 and iPad Pro 11, 1-3 gen and iPad Pro 12.9 3-5 gen)

I prefer to submit a scan with the Anatomic Studios 3D scanner app for iPhone.
